PBS TeacherLine
PBS
TeacherLine is the premier resource offering professional
development courses online to individual PreK-12 teachers
and districts. Its specially trained, certified facilitators
lead over 130 top-quality, standards-based courses that span
the entire curriculum: Mathematics, Reading/Language Arts,
Science, Instructional Technology, and Instructional Strategies.
Coursework
can cover a complete sequence of study or address a specific
requirement, depending on a teacher's or district's needs.
As
a program funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Education,
PBS TeacherLine is committed to helping educators acquire
the skills they need to become-and stay-the highly qualified
teachers needed to prepare students for a successful future.
And, as a division of PBS, with its history of providing outstanding
educational resources, TeacherLine's mission is not only to
inform but to inspire.
PBS
TeacherLine's courses are developed in collaboration with
the following leading national educational organizations,
so every course is standards-based:
- International
Society for Technology in Education (ISTE)
- National
Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM)
- The
Concord Consortium

TeacherLine Southeast
TeacherLine
Southeast
puts a local face on TeacherLine. SCETV is the Regional Coordinator
for PBS TeacherLine in the Southeast along with partners Georgia
Public Broadcasting (GPB) and UNC-TV.
Together we provide educators TeacherLine information in our
three states. We manage local courses offered on a monthly
basis and complete and provide the recertification forms for
learners after they have successfully completed courses. We
also develop partnerships with state organizations and school
districts.
